DESCRIPTION
Concertina wire is a type of razor wire that is one of the most widely used. It is used as a security measure to prevent unauthorised entry or intrusion. It consists of coils of wire with sharp edges which are interwoven and designed to form an impenetrable barrier.
Concertina wire is usually used in high security areas such as military and prisons, airports and government buildings, as well as in border fences to prevent illegal immigration and smuggling, and to protect homes, factories etc. It is very effective in deterring intruders.

Concertina Wire Details and Types
Concertina wire is the most widely used type of razor wire and can be divided into two categories depending on its construction: single coil concertina wire and crossed type concertina wire.

The single coil concertina wire is made up of several consecutive single spirals, usually
with the CBT60 or CBT65 blade type. This type of Concertina wire is simpler, less costly,
lighter and easier to install and is suitable for simple security applications such as
residential protection, factory security etc.

The crossed type concertina wire, which uses clips to connect two adjacent spirals to form a
tighter structure, provides a significant increase in security compared to single coil
concertina wire. This makes intrusion more difficult and is suitable for applications with
higher security requirements, such as battlefields, military bases, prisons, airports, etc.

Production of Concertina Wire
1. the raw material is first stamped to form razor shaped sheets.
2. The second step is to wrap the razor shaped sheets onto hot-dip galvanised steel wire or stainless steel wire, which then forms the semi-finished razor barbed wire, in which step the razor barbed wire is also coiled into a customised roll of diameter and number of turns.
3. In the third step, if a crossed type concertina wire is required, the coiled razor wire is then clamped onto the clips.
